Device Management

Smart. Secure. Scalable.
Manage every tracking device from one intelligent control center.

Device Management Overview

Device Management is TG Tracking’s command center. From one screen you can view health, push settings, update firmware, and keep every device in your fleet on spec. Changes apply over the air through secure channels. Every action is recorded for full accountability. Ready to run cleaner operations?
Keep every tracker healthy, updated, and correctly configured.

Core Features

Remote configuration

Change reporting intervals, sleep profiles, geofences, and I/O rules without touching the device.

Health monitoring

Live status for battery, signal, temperature, last contact, and firmware version.

Over-the-air updates

Roll out firmware and parameter packs to hundreds of devices in one pass.

Bulk commands

Group by fleet, region, or client and execute synchronized actions at scale.

Provisioning and activation

Fast onboarding that links device, SIM, and account with minimal setup.

Alerts and thresholds

Set rules for low battery, no contact, or sensor limits with instant notifications.

Role-based access

Granular permissions for admins, installers, support, and client teams.

Audit logging

A complete record of who changed what and when, ready for compliance.

Technical Details

Remote configuration

Devices accept secure parameter packs over HTTPS or MQTT. Supported settings include report rates, movement and sleep thresholds, digital inputs, ignition detection, and geofence lists. Conflicts are validated before apply. Failures queue for retry until confirmed.

Health monitoring

Heartbeat packets provide battery voltage, RSSI, temperature, GNSS lock status, last GPS fix, and firmware build. Dashboards display trendlines and surface devices that cross defined limits. Data can be pulled on demand through the API.

Over-the-air updates

Firmware files are signed and versioned. The platform stages the update, checks battery level and connection quality, and resumes safely after dropouts. Rollouts can be phased with canary groups and automatic rollback on failure.

Bulk commands

The command engine batches jobs and respects rate limits per carrier and per device. You can filter targets by tag, model, firmware, or last-seen time. Progress and results are streamed in real time.

Provisioning and activation

On first contact the device registers its identifiers, claims its profile, and binds to the correct tenant. SIM ICCID and APN are validated. Optional auto-naming and tagging rules speed deployment.

Alerts and thresholds

Rules evaluate telemetry at ingest and on device heartbeats. Supported actions include email, SMS, webhook post, and MQTT publish. All alerts are deduplicated to avoid noise.

Role-based access

RBAC separates tenants and restricts visibility by tag, group, or geography. Installers can add devices but cannot change billing or export data. Clients can see only their own fleets.

Audit logging

Every parameter change, command, firmware push, and login is timestamped with actor, target, and outcome. Logs are searchable and exportable for audits.
