Cookie Policy

Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how TG Tracking LLC (“TG Tracking,” “we,” or “us”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website and services. It also explains your choices for controlling cookies. We believe in transparency, so we want you to understand what cookies we use and why. By using our website with cookies enabled in your browser, you are agreeing to the use of cookies as described in this policy. You will have been presented with a cookie consent banner on your first visit to our site, allowing you to set your preferences. We respect your choices and provide options to manage cookies at any time.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet) when you visit a website. They serve a variety of functions, such as keeping you logged in, remembering preferences, and collecting information about your interaction with the site. Cookies may be set by us (first-party cookies) or by third-party services that we use (third-party cookies). In addition to cookies, we might use other tracking technologies like web beacons, pixels, or local storage. For simplicity, we refer to all these technologies as “cookies” in this Policy.

Cookies generally fall into a few categories:

  • Essential Cookies: These are necessary for the website and services to function properly. They enable core functionality such as user authentication, security, network management, and accessibility. Without these cookies, certain services or features (like adding items to a cart or accessing secure account pages) cannot be provided.
  • Preference/Functional Cookies: These cookies allow our website to remember choices you make (such as your username, language, or region) and provide enhanced, more personalized features. They may also be used to provide services you have asked for, like watching a video or using live chat support. The information these cookies collect is usually anonymized and not used for tracking your browsing on other sites.
  • Analytics and Performance Cookies: We use these to collect information about how visitors use our site and services – for example, which pages are visited most often, how users move around the site, and if they encounter errors. This data helps us improve the website’s performance and your experience. We might use third-party analytics tools (like Google Analytics) that set their own cookies to help us analyze site traffic. Any analytics cookies we deploy will only be activated if you consent, in jurisdictions where consent is required.
  • Advertising/Marketing Cookies: At present, TG Tracking does not display third-party ads on our site, so we do not use third-party advertising cookies. If this changes, we will update our policy and request appropriate consent. We may use certain cookies or pixels to track the effectiveness of our own marketing campaigns (for example, a cookie that tells us if you reached our site via an email link or advertisement), but such tracking is only done to measure campaign success and will be done in compliance with your consent choices.
  • Other Tracking Technologies: We may include web beacons (clear GIFs) in our emails to know if you open them or take action, which helps us improve our communications. We also may use local storage or session storage in your browser for similar purposes as cookies (to remember settings or preferences).

How We Use Cookies

When you visit our site, we or our third-party partners may set cookies in your browser. The cookies we use and their purposes include:

  • Authentication: To recognize you once you’ve logged in, so we can maintain your login session. This prevents you from having to log in repeatedly as you navigate secure parts of the site.
  • Preferences: To remember choices you have made, such as your preferred language or region, so we can present content in the right format. For example, if you select UK as your region, we might remember to show prices in GBP on future visits.
  • Analytics: To understand how users arrive at our site and how they interact with it. For instance, we may use Google Analytics cookies to collect information on site usage (page views, dwell time, referral sources) which helps us identify areas to improve. These analytics cookies collect information in an aggregate form (e.g., total number of visitors, general usage patterns). We do not receive personally identifying information through analytics cookies, and we do not attempt to identify individual visitors.
  • Security: Certain cookies help us mitigate security risks by detecting irregular or malicious usage. For example, a cookie might help prevent cross-site request forgery or remember additional verification steps during login.
  • Cookie Consent Management: When you make a choice on our cookie consent banner (e.g., accept all, reject non-essential, or customize settings), we use a cookie to remember your preferences so that the banner is not shown on every page load and your chosen settings are respected.

We do not use cookies to collect sensitive personal data or to pass your information to advertisers. Any personal information gathered via cookies (for example, IP address via an analytics cookie) is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Your Consent and Choices

Upon your first visit to our website, we present a cookie consent banner. This banner allows you to do one of the following:

  • Accept All Cookies: This indicates you consent to the placement of all categories of cookies (except any that are strictly necessary which are always active).
  • Reject Non-Essential Cookies: This will allow only essential cookies to be placed, and disable those that are not necessary (such as analytics or functional cookies that are not strictly required).
  • Customize/Manage Preferences: This allows you to selectively opt in or out of specific categories of cookies via a preferences center. For example, you might enable functional cookies but disable analytics cookies, according to your personal comfort.

Your cookie preferences (except strictly necessary cookies) will not be applied until you make a choice on the banner. If you choose to ignore the banner and continue using the site, we will treat that as consent for allowed cookies only as per applicable law (for instance, in jurisdictions requiring explicit consent for analytics cookies, we will not set those until you opt in). If you click “Accept All,” all cookies will be enabled. If you click “Reject” or a similar option, non-essential cookies will remain disabled.

You can change your cookie preferences at any time. We maintain a “Cookie Settings” link on our website (often in the footer or within this policy page) where you can revisit and modify your consents. Alternatively, you can clear cookies from your browser, which will typically reset your preferences and trigger the consent banner on your next visit.

Managing and Disabling Cookies

In addition to using our on-site preferences tool, you have the ability to manage cookies through your web browser settings:

  • Browser Settings: Most web browsers allow you to refuse new cookies, delete existing cookies, or notify you when new cookies are being set. Please refer to your browser’s help section for specific instructions on how to adjust cookie settings. Keep in mind that blocking all cookies (including essential cookies) may affect the functionality of our site. For example, if you disable all cookies, you may not be able to log in or use certain features.
  • Third-Party Opt-Out: For analytics cookies, you can often opt out directly with the provider. For instance, Google Analytics offers a browser add-on to prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics across all websites. Similarly, some advertising networks provide mechanisms to opt out of interest-based ads (though we do not use advertising cookies on our site as of the latest update).
  • Do Not Track Signals: Some browsers have “Do Not Track” features that let you tell websites you do not want to be tracked. At this time, our site does not respond differently to DNT signals, in part because there is no common standard adopted by industry as to what DNT entails. We rely on our cookie consent mechanism to honor your choices.

Cookies Used on Our Site (Overview)

For transparency, here is a general overview of the cookies and similar technologies we may use:

  • tgtracking_session (First-Party, Essential): Keeps you logged in and maintains session state as you navigate secure pages. Expires after you log out or after a short inactivity period.
  • cookie_consent (First-Party, Essential): Remembers your cookie consent preferences (which categories you accepted or rejected). Persists for up to 1 year so you aren’t asked every visit, unless you clear cookies.
  • analytics_id (Third-Party, Analytics – e.g., Google Analytics): If enabled, helps collect anonymized statistics about site usage (pages visited, time on site, etc.). Typically persists for a few months to a couple of years, or as defined by the third-party (Google’s _ga cookie, for example, often lasts 2 years).
  • csrftoken (First-Party, Essential/Security): A token to prevent cross-site request forgery attacks when you submit forms.
  • pf_cookie (Third-Party, Functional – PayFast): If you use our South African payment option (PayFast), their widget may set a cookie to remember your session and payment preferences during checkout. This is only set during the checkout process and is subject to PayFast’s privacy/cookie policy.

(Note: The above are examples and not an exhaustive list. For a full up-to-date list of cookies, please refer to our cookie settings tool on the website.)

Policy Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The “Last Updated” date at the end of this Policy indicates when it was last revised. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically. If we make significant changes, we may notify you through the website or via email (if applicable).
